Half glass

The debate has been lengthy
Whether the glass is half full
Or half empty
I don't mean to kill it
But
You have a glass
Go fill it.

We won't make it out alive

For all we hope and strive

Not you or I

Will make it out alive.

And all we crave and love

Under the changing sky

Will not save us

Not you, nor I.

But there is time to love

To learn and cry

To suffer and struggle

Flourish or survive
